Our story begins in 1980, when James Feinstein first started the ranch. However, this dream began way before the Ranch existed, James, known as Ron by his friends and family, grew up in Louisiana in poverty. In spite of all the odds he had a dream of more for himself and his future family. When he set out for California he had nothing to his name except an old pair of shoes with cardboard keeping the souls together. A simple goal was born: to raise cattle the right way, on open pasture, with integrity, hard work, and care for the land. What started as a family dream for him and his wife Gayle of 60 years, has grown into a lasting legacy. Today, the ranch is proudly operated by Cindy Holloway, who has a deep-rooted passion for ranchin, the land and keeping Ron's legacy thriving. From early mornings in the pasture to late nights during calving season, Cindy has always felt at home in the rhythm of ranch life. With a commitment to sustainable practices and ethical animal care, she continues her father’s mission—raising healthy, pasture-raised beef you can feel good about feeding your family. Every animal is treated with respect, every acre is thoughtfully managed, and every customer is part of our extended ranch family. We’re proud to offer locally raised, custom butchered beef that connects people back to the source of their food—and back to a way of life rooted in honesty, quality, and tradition.
